Events scheduled for Relationship Violence Awareness Month

October is Relationship Violence Awareness Month at CSU. Throughout the month the Women and Gender Advocacy Center will be hosting several events relating to the topics of relationship violence, supporting survivors and healthy relationships.

“By the time we are adults, most of us on campus have spent thousands of hours in classrooms learning about subjects such as math and science and writing comprehension, but very few of us have ever been taught how to define for ourselves what constitutes a healthy or unhealthy relationship,” said Monica Rivera, director for the Women and Gender Advocacy Center. “Even fewer of us have been taught how to support a loved one who is in an abusive relationship.”

The campus community is invited to attend all of the events below.
