February 22nd: Fanny Starr Talk

In honor of Holocaust Awareness Week, Fanny Starr, an Auschwitz survivor, will be discussing her experiences and sharing her story of survival and hope.

This event is free and open to the public.

Wednesday, February 22nd
6:30 – 9:30 PM
Lory Student Center Ballroom

Starr was born in Lodz, Poland, in 1922, and was forced into slave labor in Auschwitz and other camps. She lost most of her family before she was finally liberated from Bergen Belsen by the British Army in April 1945. After the war, she and her husband, Zesa Starr, settled in Denver and dedicated themselves to keeping the memory of the horrors of the Holocaust – and her message of hope in the face of such horrors – alive for future generations.
