October 21st: Accommodations for Pregnancy and Employees with Disabilities

CSU’s Office of Equal Opportunity has partnered with other campus organizations to provide programming for National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

Accommodations for Pregnancy and Employees with Disabilities
Friday, October 21st, 11:00 AM-12:00 PM
LSC Room 308-310

This presentation will provide an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 and the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008, and of the accommodation process at CSU, including definitions and terms.  This presentation will also provide information on the recently passed Colorado House Bill 16-1438 (commonly referred to as the Colorado Pregnancy Accommodation Bill) relating to accommodations for pregnant employees and how it differs from ADA and ADAAA requirements.

This free event is presented by the Office of Equal Opportunity and is open to all students, faculty, and staff.

Colorado State University is proud to participate in National Disability Employment Awareness Month, an annual awareness campaign that takes place each October. There are many  opportunities to become involved in the conversation. The theme of this year is #InclusionWorks.
