I’ve learned a lot about being a straight feminist woman post-puberty in romantic relationships, including some generally solid ways to figure out if the guy you’re dating is worth the long-term emotional, material, and financial investment that relationships require.
Standing up for women necessarily includes standing up for black women, and their communities. We must push all the self-avowed (white) feminists in positions of power — and push ourselves — to constantly do better.
This whole issue centers on respecting women’s dignity.
These conversations could make a real difference to help all people feel safe and comfortable in the world.
